Freedonia Group Predicts Enzyme Demand Will Increase

U.S. demand for enzymes will increase 6.7% annually to $1.6 billion in 2006, according to Enzymes, a report by The Freedonia Group, Cleveland, OH. This growth will be fueled by the commercialization of novel, high-value enzymes designed for specific applications such as biocatalysts, pharmaceuticals and other fast growth markets.
